Stopsley is one of those Luton postcodes that feels further from the airport than it actually is. You’re in LU2, the airport is LU2. You’re both east of the town centre. In a straight line it’s not even 4 miles. But the route isn’t a straight line — you have to pick your way via Crawley Green Road or Wigmore Road, and the Eaton Green Road approach to the airport can queue badly when there’s morning peak traffic stacking back from the terminal roundabout.
We use Wigmore Road as our preferred route from Stopsley in busy periods — it brings you to Airport Way from the east without going through the Eaton Green Road bottleneck. Most of the time it’s 15 minutes, door to drop-off. On a bad morning we’ll add 8–10 minutes of buffer because we’d rather be early than stand outside Departures explaining the traffic.
We also cover Round Green, Crawley Green, Putteridge, Wigmore, Warden Hill and Farley Hill as part of the same LU2 area. If you’re in any of those neighbourhoods, same fixed price applies — we’re not going to charge you a penny more because you’re on the Wigmore side of Stopsley rather than the town side.

Which is quicker from Stopsley — Crawley Green Road or Wigmore Road?
Depends on the time of day. Before 7am, Crawley Green Road is fine. Between 7:30 and 9am, Wigmore Road to Airport Way via the east is consistently quicker. We adjust every time based on live conditions.
Do you cover Wigmore and Warden Hill at the same price?
Yes. Wigmore, Warden Hill, Crawley Green and Putteridge are all treated as Stopsley LU2 for pricing purposes. From £18 for a saloon, same as the main Stopsley fare.
What about Round Green — is that covered?
Yes. Round Green is between Stopsley and Luton town centre on Hitchin Road. We pick up from Round Green at the same Stopsley fare. No extra charge for which side of the area you’re on.
How early should I book before an early morning flight from LTN?
At least the evening before, ideally 24–48 hours ahead. For 3am or 4am pickups from Stopsley, booking the previous evening is fine — we’ll confirm your driver and send their details before you go to sleep.
Do you come back to Stopsley after flights land?
