Luton Airport Drop-Off Charge 2026 — Everything You Need to Know

The Luton Airport Express Drop-Off Zone charges £7 for the first 10 minutes, then £1 per additional minute up to 30 minutes. The zone is ANPR-enforced — no barriers. Payment is due online at lla.info by midnight the same day. Missing the deadline results in a £95 penalty charge notice.

What Changed in January 2025

On 22 January 2025, Luton Airport removed the physical payment barriers from the Express Drop-Off Zone and switched to Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). Your vehicle is photographed on entry and exit. You pay online afterwards — not on site. The system is managed by APCOA and payment is at lutondropoff.apcoa.com or lla.info.

The Free Alternative

The Long Stay car park offers free drop-off for up to 2 hours. A free shuttle bus runs from there to the terminal every 20 minutes and takes approximately 10 minutes. If you’re being dropped by a friend or family member, this avoids the £7 charge. For pre-booked taxis, most operators include the Express Drop-Off charge in the fare — we do, so there are no surprises.
